Prior to submitting your child’s application, please read the following terms. Submission of the Application is your agreement to all terms. TUITION PAYMENTS In an effort to make our program as affordable as possible for all families, we offer installment options for tuition. Tuition may be paid in full each year, by the semester, or in 5 or 10 monthly installments. Accounts will be set up on automatic payments once your payment frequency is determined. Tuition Paid in Full may be submitted upon registration. Semesterly Tuition Payment Due Dates July 1, 2023 January 1, 2024 5 Month Payment Due Dates July 1, 2023 October 1, 2023 December 1, 2023 February 1, 2024 April 1, 2024 10 Month Payment Due Dates July 1, 2023 September 1, 2023 October 1, 2023 November 1, 2023 December 1, 2023 January 1, 2024 February 1, 2024 March 1, 2024 April 1, 2024 May 1, 2024 To help us maintain our superior quality programming and guarantee wages for our amazing teachers, we require a financial commitment from each family for the semester. As former homeschoolers, we know the importance of flexibility. As passionate educators, we know the importance of making sure the curriculum and program meet the student’s needs. For these reasons, we forego the industry standard of a year-long commitment and replace it with a semester commitment. Grown-Ups are financially responsible for the full semester for which their child(ren) are registered. *We want to make sure our program is the right program for your student. If you are new to Lotus and Ivy, you may take advantage of our First-Month (4 weeks) Trial Policy. The trial periods are September 5, 2023 - September 29, 2023 (Semester 1) or January 8, 2024 - February 2, 2024 (Semester 2). Students who are new to Lotus & Ivy (never previously enrolled) may trial during the first month of either semester. After the trial period, financial commitment is for the remainder of the semester. Written notice of withdrawal for any classes must be submitted to lotusandivyvirtualclasses@gmail.com by September 22, 2023 for Semester 1 or by January 26, 2024 for Semester 2. Our program is a year-long program, so students will automatically continue into Semester 2. If any changes to a child's schedule are to be made, written notice of withdrawal for any Semester 2 classes must be submitted to lotusandivyvirtualclasses@gmail.com by December 15, 2022. Semester 1: September 5, 2023 - January 26, 2024 Semester 2: January 29, 2024 - June 7, 2024 Timely tuition payments allow us to operate the best Waldorf virtual program in the world. To assist us with this, we use a secure and trusted payment processing platform. Tuition is auto-billed to the credit/debit card (3% fee) or bank account (no fee) on the 1st day of each month. If there is an issue with payment, it is the responsibility of the grown-up to contact us with updated information as soon as possible. Late fees ($25 per day per student) will begin to accrue on the 11th of the month automatically. Accounts 1 installment past due will result in an interruption of services until the balance is paid. Please note that we keep our class sizes small to best serve our students. This means we often turn families away due to full classes. By taking a seat in our classes, your student is one of a small class to which the teacher is dedicated. Payment must be made before the registration process is complete. APPLICATION FEE The once-per-program-year Application Fee is $205. Receipt of this fee allows us to hold a position for your child in the class. Our class sizes are small; therefore, we cannot hold a position unless we see earnest interest from you about enrolling. By paying the application fee up-front, this allows us to hold a position in the class for your child. An invoice will be sent to the first email address listed on the Application for Enrollment. Upon receipt of your application and payment, our staff will contact you regarding acceptance within 5 days. Application Fees are non-refundable. If you are enrolling mid-year, you still must pay the full registration fee. Please note that we are unable to hold your child's spot for our classes until the Application Fee has been paid. Thank you! Non-Discrimination Policy Lotus & Ivy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation and gender in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Hate-Speech and Bullying Policy Lotus & Ivy has a zero-tolerance policy for hate-speech and bullying. If a student is guilty of such behavior as determined by the Director, teachers, or staff, the student will not be allowed to attend class with Lotus & Ivy effective immediately. Release of Liability * I hereby agree to be responsible for the conduct and actions of my child and to release Lotus & Ivy, and its Owners, Directors, Teachers, & Volunteers, from any claims and demands that may occur during participation in Lotus & Ivy classes each week while online or participating in any form in Lotus & Ivy classes. Furthermore, I agree to release Lotus & Ivy and its Owners, Directors, Teachers, & Volunteers, and will hold them harmless from any liability which may arise from incidents or accidents involving my child and myself while attending Lotus & Ivy classes or activities. *Lotus & Ivy Zoom Agreements for Students This is for your information and is provided to all families enrolled in Lotus & Ivy. Please review and let us know if you need help enforcing these agreements. We take class time very seriously and cannot allow distractions and disruptions that prevent the other students from hearing the teacher or focusing on the lesson. Please make every effort to join us in making class time as enjoyable and meaningful as possible for all students. · The student’s video must be on the entire class time. This practice helps us facilitate community and social interaction for our students. It also helps the teacher be able to monitor the students’ progress and engagement. We understand there may be rare exceptions to this if a student has special circumstances. If this is the case, please reach out to Sarah & Heather at lotusandivyvirtualclasses@gmail.com so we may discuss this with you. · Make sure your child knows how to mute and unmute and has a quiet space for attending class. There will be time for students to engage and interact with the class and the teacher, and the teacher will let everyone know when these times are. When students are unmuted throughout the lesson, background noise can be distracting for the teacher and other students, so, parents, please make sure your student has a quiet environment in which to attend class. · Virtual backgrounds and/or effects are prohibited. · Chat rules on Zoom may vary by class. Please check with your child's teacher about this. As a general rule, chat may only be used to ask the teacher questions. Chatting with other students during class is not allowed and this feature may be disabled. · After appropriate effort to mitigate, distracting and disruptive students will be dismissed at the discretion of Lotus & Ivy. Lotus & Ivy makes every effort to be an inclusive, intentional, and positive program for all students. Lotus & Ivy has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech. If a student engages in such behavior, the student will be removed from class immediately and may be withdrawn from the program at the discretion of the teacher and administration. · Only enrolled Lotus & Ivy students may participate in class. Grownups may be present to assist but are asked to be off camera or inaudible during class time. Grownups should reach out to the teacher outside of class time with questions. We ask that siblings also be off camera during class time. · Story time is a sacred time during the main lesson. Please refrain from conversation with the student during class time and, especially, during story time. · Students should be dressed appropriately and ready for class. Pajamas are discouraged. · Students should eat before or after class unless medically necessary. It is important that the students are ready to do things like movement activities, art and craft, singing, and listening, and should be free from distractions. · Please save toys for outside of class time. Toys are distracting for the student playing with the toy and for the other students in class. · Students should arrive to class on time and be prepared with all needed supplies. Teachers send emails or newsletters ahead of time with materials listed for the days/weeks ahead so be sure to look for communication from your child's teacher. · The Zoom link for class is for ENROLLED Lotus & Ivy students only. We record our classes ONLY for enrolled students who are absent or need to view the recording. These class recordings belong to Lotus & Ivy and any distribution outside of enrolled students is illegal.
